About ET-Pumpkin Express Train

The ET-Pumpkin Express Train runs overnight between Lao Cai (for Sapa) and Hanoi, with 14 compact, fully equipped cabins featuring air conditioning and reading lights.

Pick-up & drop-off

  1. Be at Nhat Linh restaurant, in front of Lao Cai Train Station, for check-in. Your e-ticket is exchanged for a paper ticket here.

  2. Train departs for Hanoi Train Station.

  3. Arrives at Hanoi Train Station (No. 7 Tran Quy Cap street).

Note: Lao Cai Train Station is about 40 km from Sapa Town. You will need transport from Sapa down to Lao Cai station before boarding (a shuttle bus or private car).

Good to know

  • There is one restroom on every coach and only opens when the train runs

  • You must exchange your e-ticket for a paper ticket at the station before boarding, so please arrive at the station 1 hour before departure
